Tricia Kim ~

came to Bali with one suitcase in 1997 to work as head designer for iconic jewelry brand John Hardy.  Today I live and work in Pererenan where I have built a lovely home that I share with my teenage son, a dog and a cat.  I love my garden with it's many fruit trees, fauna and flora.

I have always been fascinated with drawing and shiny objects and piano since an early age. This lead to studying fine arts in top art schools in NYC, Paris and California, where I started hand making jewelry.  A stint with high end goldsmith Jenny Lessard in NYC and a gold company in midtown, lead me to experiment with ancient techniques of granulation, chain making, and gemstone setting.

My brand ‘Nagicia’, a portmanteau of Naga (meaning dragon and the year I was born into) and Tricia came to life whilst trekking in Nepal.

After traveling throughout SE Asia in 2000, I landed back in Bali and started my brand.  I always wondered how I could give back to the communities in Bali.  This came to fruition when the Canggu chapter of Rotary began where I was a president.  Through educational programs and workshops and working alongside other like minded individuals, I have been able to better lives of many people through water tanks, beach clean ups, backpack deliveries to Lombok, etc.  I support Bye Bye Plastic Bags, Bali Wise, Mission Pawsible, Stella's Child, Smile Foundation of Bali, Terra Water Indonesia, Eco Bali, KIVA, and many other non-profit organisations.

My goal is to have transparent work practises, sourcing from green and eco mines. I am also highlighting the talents and workmanship of the skilled jewelers I have worked with over 20 years, without whom I would not be doing what I am today.

I am happy that I can utilise my jewelry design skills to better peoples lives.  This is the best reward any designer can wish for.
