We are getting a firm grip on for 2020! I wish to thank all our friends, families and supporters. Without you, we couldn't have done it! I would also like to thank and welcome everyone new to the Nagicia Community.
2019 was quite industrious, beginning with the distribution of 350 backpacks to Lombok, organizing a fundraising gala at Hotel Tugu to raise funds for several charitable organizations. We look forward to going back to visit the three schools in Lombok and see how the building, students, and teachers have progressed. The summer had us catching up in San Francisco, driving down Highway 1 through Big Sur with my son, and ending up in Hollywood! There we saw a lot of stars (on the sidewalks ;-), and met the founder of the Hollywood Sunday Market. July had me in Houston for the first time, for a private function at the best gift shop there, Events GIfts Houston.
November saw me back in Houston for another private event at Events Gifts Houston, supporting United Way, along with the top corporate ladies of Houston. We had a campaign shoot a Magpies and Peacocks, with award-winning photographer Jay Marroquin. Winding up the trip to NYC, where the temperature dropped!, I was introduced to the Material ConneXions Showroom in NYC, a design resource library for sustainable materials. I also was given entree into the private room at New York Vintage, Inc. in Chelsea, by Megan Averbuch, (blogger of Belles and Rebelles) where all the stylists and red carpet stars flock for their jaw-dropping looks.
Back in Bali, after living in the idyllic surf town of Canggu for 18 years, it has turned into ‘Balifornia,’ becoming rampant with development. So we packed it up and moved to the quieter shores of Sanur on Bali's east coast. We loved Canggu for the stunning emerald green rice terraces, yoga studios, and healthy food options, but it got too busy, and we needed to be closer to my son’s high school. Two weeks in, and I am finding virtually everything I need is at my fingertips, without the traffic of Jalan Raya Canggu!
